Our lovely preserved rose petals have been preserved with a glycerine based solution, together with natural food dyes. The preservation process stabilises the colour and ensures that the petals look and feel as fresh as the day they were plucked from the rose. The petals in the 1 & 2 litre boxes are presented in a pretty acetate box. The petals in the 8 & 24 litre boxes are gently packed in protection bags to avoid damages. What is the difference between freeze-dried and preserved rose petals?
Freeze-dried rose petals are organically decomposable, lightweight, have a natural colour and are slightly fragile. Above all, they don't stain. These petals keep their colour for around 3 to 5 weeks provided they are kept dry and in the dark. After this period, the rose petals may start to lose their colour.
Preserved rose petals are also organically decomposable, but feel soft and are not so fragile. The petals are colour treated. Accordingly, dark coloured rose petals may stain. Provided they are kept dry and in the dark, preserved rose petals can be kept for at least 1 to 3 years. After this period, they may start to lose their colour.
We only deliver real rose petals. All our products can be kept at room temperature, so it is not necessary to keep them in the fridge or freezer.
